These terms cover your use of Shotgun (shotgunride.app), a free carpool planner run by Itay Bachar. By using Shotgun you agree to them.
Google Maps
Shotgun includes Google Maps features and content. Your use of them is subject to the then-current Google Maps End User Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Plans are estimates
Routes, drive and transit times, connections, meeting spots, parking information, tolls, fares and cost splits in Shotgun are estimates built from third-party data. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check anything you rely on — especially transit schedules, parking rules and road conditions — before you travel.
You are responsible for how you travel: for driving safely and legally, for where you park or wait, and for any costs you agree to share. Don't use Shotgun while driving.
Shotgun doesn't provide rides
Shotgun suggests ways for people to meet up. It doesn't arrange, provide or vet rides, drivers or passengers; any arrangement is between you and the people you travel with.
Carpools
Anyone with a carpool's link can see it and add themselves, so share it only with the people you're travelling with, and put in a carpool only what you're happy for them to see. Whoever starts a carpool can change the trip and remove people from it. Carpools are deleted a few days after the trip, and Shotgun may remove one that's being misused.
Using Shotgun fairly
Don't scrape Shotgun, send it automated or bulk requests, try to get around its limits, or use it in a way that breaks the law or the Google terms above. Shotgun may block use that does.
The service
Shotgun is free. It may change, have daily or monthly limits, pause or stop at any time, without notice.
No warranty
Shotgun is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and availability.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Itay Bachar is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of Shotgun, including missed events or connections, parking or traffic penalties, and fares.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. Using Shotgun after a change means you accept the new terms.
